My passion for photography evolved out of my love for art when I was in high school.  In 1980, I took a photography class offered by our industrial arts teacher. In the course, we learned how to develop 35mm film to make black and white prints using an enlarger.

When my children were born, I started taking photos and noticed that I was taking a lot of photographs. In the old 35mm days, if you took 4 out of 10 decent images you were considered to be doing well!  The expense of film photography forced me to learn composition, lighting, ISO, aperture, and more in order to hone my craft.

In the mid-'90s, a photographer in Barre, Vermont shared with me that photography was going to be revolutionized by digital cameras.  At the time, I had no idea what he meant until I purchased my first digital camera in 2003, a Canon EOS Digital Rebel.  Six cameras, two drones, and a 360-degree camera later, I have found a niche in real estate, rental property, and business photography. ​

To be successful in the digital photography industry, one must stay current with the latest trends in technology and required certifications. To be compensated as a drone operator, pilots are required to have a Part 107 Drone UAV Certification through the FAA.  On December 30, 2019, I passed my remote pilot certification allowing me to be hired to assist you with your aerial photography and video needs.
